KENYA PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE - MATERNITY OPTIONS

Maternity (Routine)

Where covered, routine maternity refers to medically necessary costs incurred during pregnancy and childbirth, including hospital charges, specialist fees, the mother's pre- and post-natal care, midwife fees (during labour only) as well as newborn care. To talk to a specialist on medical insurance contact, use chat button below.

Routine Maternity benefits include:

  • Ante natal care such as ultrasound scans
  • Hospital charges, obstetricians’ and midwives’ fees for pregnancy and childbirth
  • Post natal care required by the mother immediately following normal childbirth, such as stitches
  • Pregnancy and childbirth complications, by which we mean those conditions which only ever arise as a direct result of pregnancy or childbirth

Maternity (Caesarean) benefits:

Any non-medically necessary caesarean sections will be covered up to the cost of a routine delivery in the same hospital, subject to any benefit limit in place. Costs related to complications of pregnancy or complications of childbirth are not payable under routine maternity.

Free maternity benefits depend on the inpatient plan chosen where applicable. One can also increase the maternity benefit at an additional fee.
